Caps off to creativity! 🎓

Shout out to our School of Management graduates who entered the UB Grad Cap Design Contest in the sentimental, artistic, true blue and humorous categories.

In the sentimental category, Zi Cong Tan received an honorable mention for a cap titled "On to the next chapter: Built from every page that shaped me" and in the humorous category, Tanira Tunazzina received an honorable mention for a cap titled "Based on a true story: This is probably my last 11:59 p.m. submission."

We love seeing the style, school spirit and personality each student brought to this year’s contest.

The School of Management mourns the loss of Tunney Murchie, BS ’75, MBA ’76, one of our most engaged alumni and generous benefactors.

A successful businessperson who founded Lackawanna Products and its startup spinoff, LPC Logistics, Murchie exemplified what hard work and commitment can lead to. The extraordinary success of the companies he founded is proof. Murchie was also a longtime and generous supporter of the university and its athletics program.

BUFFALO, NY – Longtime University at Buffalo Athletics supporter Tunney Murchie passed away on Friday at the age of 73.
