National Society of Pershing Rifles Company O-8

Company 0-8 of Pershing rifles attended NATCON this week, during this O-8 got to meet many high profile individuals including the 45th Surgeon General, LT. Gen. R. Scott Di**le, and many notable alumni from across our regiment. During the trip O-8 also got to visit the Aviation Museum of Kentucky as well as many other restaurants and local attractions. Our regiment also won multiple awards during the dinner, as well as two personal awards for achievement in the society for the CO of O-8 PR/CPT Chris Lasher and former 0-8 member PR 8th/12th RSM Andrew Kaczmarski. The O-8 members that attended NATCON this year were PR/CPT Chris Lasher, PR/SGT Mike Caliendo, PR/SGT Than Than Tway and PR/SGT Veronica Visone.

Two truckloads and 5 pallets later David Bubb Memorial clothing drive hosted by Pershing Rifles Company O-8 is done. A special thanks to MSG Baah from the GGBN, PR CO Lasher, PR CPT Vanaskie, PR 2LT Kilanowski and the PR 8th & 12th regimental CSM Kaczmarski for the help moving this mountain of clothing over to The Buffalo City Mission. Today Company O-8 is proud to announce that we have welcomed 7 new members to our ranks! Congrats to PR SGT Michael Caliendo, PR SGT Trinese Perez, PR SGT Veronica Visone, PR SPC Benjamin Ehrenberg, PR PFC Matthew Robinson, PR PFC Ernie Greene and PR PFC Isaiah Ruth!

Company leadership of O-8 was also transferred to PR CPT Christopher Lasher today, as the former CO moved up to become the 8th & 12th regimental CSM for Pershing rifles! Congratulations to PR CPT Christopher Lasher, and 8th/12th PR RCSM Kaczmarski!

Canisius Pershing Rifles is hosting a clothing drive from November 12th to December 10th, and again during the month of February in memory of David Bubb, a fallen Riflemen in PR and Cadet in the Golden Griffin Battalion. David was born on the 6th of February 2001 and passed away on the 20th of December 2019. David was a charitable individual who always put the needs of others before his own. Showing up each day and cheering up those around him with with his bubbly and happy personality.

Donations can be dropped off at the Canisius ROTC battalion office located at the Canisius health science building, at various location on UB’s campus or with any active member of PR. All donations will go to the . Thank you for the support!

Company O-8 Commander PR/CPT Andrew Kaczmarski, OIC Trainer PR/1LT Travis Kilanowski, and PAO PR/2LT Jerry Dragon attended the rappelling event over at Hilbert College which allowed Civilians to rappel down the side of their school and give them a chance to see what GGBN does and learn more about the United States Army and ROTC

The Company O-8 Commander PR/CPT Andrew Kaczmarski and PAO PR/2LT Jerry Dragon attended the JROTC Drill Event at Hutchinson Central Technical High School today as Judges for the Events which included squad and platoon stationary drills, formation movements, as well as a color guard event and individual drill competition.

During the Summer, CO Kaczmarski graduated from AASLT at West Point and our OIC trainer, Kilanowski, graduated from AASLT at Fort Campbell. Lastly, XO O’Meara graduated from MFTC at Fort Benning. An outstanding job for Company O-8!
