The University at Buffalo’s American Institute of Chemical Engineers club (UB AIChE) has qualified for the RAPID | ExxonMobil ChemE Cube Competition later this year. This is the first time UB advanced through the highly competitive selection process.

Student research with has been recognized by the State University of New York (SUNY) with the SUNY Graduate Research Empowering and Accelerating Talent (GREAT) award 🔬🏅

Congratulations to Laura Sherwood, PhD candidate in biomedical engineering, who is advised by Stelios Andreadis, SUNY Distinguished Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering. Sherwood's research uses a developmentally inspired approach to generate functional salivary gland organoids, mini organs, from human induced pluripotent stem cells.

Nicholas Reilly, a recent chemical engineering alum, received the National Science Foundation’s Graduate Research Fellowship Program (NSF GRFP) award earlier this spring. His project aims to generate economically viable CO2-derived fuels like natural gas.
