The University at Buffalo Dance Program ⭐️BA, BFA, and MFA Programs
where creativity is crafted and versatility matters. The program does not offer a minor in dance.

The UB DANCE PROGRAM is a nurturing and challenging artistic community where Versatility Matters. The program values education fueled by stimulating professional performing and teaching experiences. The BA and BFA dance degrees include a depth and breadth of curriculum with equal emphasis on jazz, ballet, modern, and tap. Various options in preparing for professional dance careers are available. C

oursework includes performance, choreography, pedagogy, somatic practices, movement analysis, history, criticism and research. The three-year, 60 credit hour program welcomes students from various backgrounds ranging from recent BA/BFA graduates to returning professionals wishing to deeply engage with the dance-making process. Each student is encouraged to integrate her unique interests into innovative ways of seeing, thinking about, communicating and being in the world through dance.
