We'll never make discussions of white supremacy palatable to those invested in upholding it: we need the tools of critical race theory — now.

Well some people have really made the choice to expose their bigotry here. How disgusting.

I am so ashamed of this part of Canadian history. We all should be. It was literal ethnocide. If you think differently, you need to pick up a gd book or speak with an Elder about what happened because you are an embarrassment to this country. I'd say head across the border but they finally seem to be over your ilk as well.

Bad day in Buffalo history.

On in 1901, President William McKinley was shaking hands at the Pan-American Exhibition in Buffalo, New York, when a 28-year-old anarchist named Leon Czolgosz approached him and fired two shots into his chest. The president rose slightly on his toes before collapsing forwarding, saying “be careful how you tell my wife.”

Czolgosz moved over the president with the intent of firing a third shot but was wrestled to the ground by McKinley’s bodyguards. McKinley, still conscious, told the guards not to hurt his assailant. McKinley was rushed to the hospital and into surgery. He seemed to be on the mend by September 12, however, the president’s condition worsened rapidly and on September 14, McKinley died.

McKinley served in the U.S. Congress and as a governor of Ohio before running for the presidency in 1896. As a longtime champion of protective tariffs, the Republican McKinley ran on the platform of promoting American prosperity and won to become the 25th president of the U.S.

A message from D'Youville: Yesterday, we did not use our social media platforms in partnership with Black Out Tuesday as many colleges and universities did. We apologize and ask for grace. D’Youville unequivocally supports the Black Lives Matter movement.
