We’re proud to spotlight the incredible professionals who prepare our Adult & Online Education students for real‑world success—and Professor David Hesselmeyer is a standout! 👏🚨

With experience in homeland security and emergency management since 1997, Professor Hesselmeyer has served as a firefighter, paramedic, and emergency manager. His passion? Helping students prepare for everything from everyday emergencies to large‑scale disasters like pandemics and hurricanes. 🌪️🦠

Campbell University also holds a special place in his heart ❤️. What started as a conversation outside D. Rich Hall turned into a first date at Howard’s BBQ, a marriage in 2004, and a growing family of five today. 🐪🍽️👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

In the classroom, Professor Hesselmeyer focuses on practical, career‑ready skills such as risk assessment, cost‑benefit analysis, and mitigation strategies - tools students can use both professionally and personally. His advice is simple but powerful: 👉 Build relationships. Make an impact where you can. And don’t take today for granted.
