UVM CREAM

Cooperative for Real Education in Agricultural Management. A student run dairy herd. UVM students manage farm operation and perform all of the barn chores.

CREAM, Cooperative for Real Education in Agricultural Management, is a student-run dairy herd. There are currently 34 milking Holstein cows plus replacement animals in the herd. It is one of the highest producing and genetically superior herds in Vermont. This spring and fall semester program offers 8 credits (4 per semester) to 13-16 students each year. Successful applicants are selected from all

majors across the University and are not required to have a dairy or livestock background. The key requirements are a commitment to working hard and the thirst for knowledge. A CREAM student will leave this program with the skills necessary to excel in his/her chosen field whether that be business management, community development and applied economics, animal science, or biology.

Meet Molly! Molly is from Garden City, Long Island and a rising senior! She is an animal science major on the pre vet track and wants to be large animal or emergency vet. Mollys favorite cows is Autumn and favorite dairy product is Swiss Cheese and Maple Creemee. Her favorite part aboit SCREAM is hanging with the girls in the manger and vaccine day! A fun fact about Molly is that she has dual citizenship in Ireland! YAY MOLLY

🐄🌸🌅 Meet the SCREAMer 2026 🌅🌸🐄

Meet Abby!! Abby is a rising senior from Richmond, Virginia. She is an animal science major with minors in equine studies and chemistry 🐴🧪! She is on a pre-veterinary track and hopes to become a large animal vet in the future 🐄🩺. Her favorite parts of SCREAM are getting to be on chore with so many amazing people, learning all the cows’ personalities, and naming the calves! Abby’s favorite cows are Agnes (4042) and Myrtle (3981) 🐮❤️. Her favorite dairy product is Ben and Jerry’s Phish Food ice cream 🍨! Yay Abby!!

Meet Emily! Em is a rising junior animal science major, with a biochemistry minor, on the pre-veterinary track, from Sidney, ME. Her goal is to become a mixed practice/wildlife conservation veterinarian and continue doing emergency/rescue work. Her favorite part of SCREAM is being with the cows and people, and listening to music while milking! Her favorite cows are Austin (3932) and Lilo (3937). Her favorite dairy product is unfortunately none (allergic) but she loves goat cheese! YAY Emily

Meet Bridget! Bridget is a rising junior from South Burlington, VT. She is an animal science major with an economics minor. Bridget has hopes on going into either equine, or large animal medicine 🐴 !!! Her favorite part about SCREAM is getting to meet so many amazing people, and learning how to care for our girls! She also loves cow baths 🛁 Her favorite cows are Lily 3979, Moonlight 4024, Louise 3946, and Alisabeth 4051. Her favorite Daory product is chocolate milk 🍫 🥛. A fun fact about Bridget is she wants to have cows when she’s older 🐮. YAY BRIDGET!!

Her two favorite cows are Gemma (4020) and Jinx (4022). Her favorite part about scream is spending time with all her favorite cows 🐄 , and the friends she has made! Her favorite dairy product is Greek yogurt 🥣. A fun fact about Mia is she has a lot of houseplants that she loves taking care of🪴🌿. YAY MIA!!!
