STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: Will | Junior, Majoring in Agroecology

For our Diversified Farm Management class, we’re highlighting students getting their hands dirty in learning what it takes to manage a farm! Here’s Will’s input:

Role on farm: Crop Planning

Q: What does a typical day look like?
“Always 30 minutes of computer work, that being harvest tallies specifically. Then it changes based on what’s needed, like processing garlic, weighing onions, or picking apples!”

Q: Most unexpected lesson in farm management so far?
“How important it is to keep track of farm records.”

Q: Favorite crop to work with?
“The grapes are cool”— yes Cat Farm has a vineyard!
