The National Trust for Historic Preservation is now accepting nominations for "America's 11 Most Endangered Historic Places."

Is there a historic property in Vermont that you think is worthy of nomination?

Since 1988, the National Trust has used its list of America's 11 Most Endangered Historic Places to raise awareness about the threats facing some of the nation's greatest treasures.

Be sure to tune in to Vermont Public’s “Vermont Edition” program at noon on Wednesday, August 26. Guest host Mitch Wertleib and guests Britta Tonn and Jenna Lapachinski discuss proposed changes at the federal level regarding historic preservation that could impact historic properties throughout Vermont.

Britta and Jenna are both graduates of the UVM Historic Preservation Program. Britta is Vermont Director of Cultural Resources at VHB, and Jenna is a Field Service Representative for the Preservation Trust of Vermont. We look forward to hearing what they have to say!

SAVE THE DATE!

The annual UVM Historic Preservation Program Fall Gathering will be held on Wednesday, September 2, from 5:30 to 7:00 PM.

All are welcome to join us on the west veranda of Wheeler House for an informal gathering to celebrate the start of the 2026 academic year. New and returning historic preservation students, alumni, friends, partners, significant others, and kids are all welcome. If possible, please bring a treat to share and we will provide pizza and drinks.
