Last week UVM Historic Preservation Program students attended the annual training for historic preservation consultants in Barre, VT. Hosted by our friends at the Vermont Division for Historic Preservation, the day included discussions about the proposed changes to Section 106, best practices for project review, and much more.

The training was held at the Vermont History Center, where students visited the Howard & Alba Leahy Library and the Vermont Archaeology Heritage Center. Special thanks to the VDHP and VHS staff for hosting us!

The National Trust for Historic Preservation is now accepting nominations for "America's 11 Most Endangered Historic Places."

Is there a historic property in Vermont that you think is worthy of nomination?

Since 1988, the National Trust has used its list of America's 11 Most Endangered Historic Places to raise awareness about the threats facing some of the nation's greatest treasures.
