We’re excited to welcome Dr. Jodie Fairbank to Washington County Community College! 🎉

Jodie joins WCCC as our new Criminal Justice Instructor, bringing more than two decades of experience in criminal justice, higher education, public safety, and community service. Throughout her career, she has served as a college professor, academic leader, public safety professional, crisis intervention trainer, and military veteran. Most recently, she developed criminal justice curriculum and provided professional training nationwide.

Jodie recently achieved an exciting academic milestone, successfully defending her dissertation and earning her Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Education, with an emphasis in Criminal and Juvenile Justice, from Nova Southeastern University. 🎓

Her extensive professional experience, commitment to lifelong learning, and passion for the field will bring valuable knowledge and perspective to WCCC’s Criminal Justice program and our students.

How do textbook and course-material costs affect your college experience?

WCCC is participating in a statewide survey to help Maine colleges and universities better understand students' experiences with textbooks, digital materials, access codes, and other required course materials.

The survey takes approximately 10 minutes and is open through September 22. Participation is voluntary, and survey responses are anonymous and confidential. Eligibility information is provided at the beginning of the survey.

After completing the survey, students may choose to enter a drawing for one of forty $25 Amazon gift cards.
