MIT Rocket Team

MIT Rocket Team The MIT Rocket Team designs, builds, and launches experimental sounding rockets. Have any questions? Are you an MIT student/affiliate interested in joining?

The MIT Rocket Team embarks on various endeavours related to rocketry, from competing in the collegiate space race to developing our own liquid propulsion engine. We tackle every part of every system of the rocket, from methane-oxygen bipropellant engines, to custom designed tight packing, low-mass parachutes. We're currently developing a rover to fly in our rocket at the Spaceport America Cup. In

years past we've developed plasma flow modification systems and active roll stabilization payloads. Send us an email at [email protected] and we'd be happy to respond.
