Today is officially the first day of Mes Latino!
Mes Latino is a month long celebration of LatinX culture at MIT that takes place from the first week of March to the first week of April. The purpose of Mes Latino is to unite Latinx’s on MIT’s campus and promote Latinx culture to the entire MIT community. Over the years, the Latino Cultural Center and its affiliated organizations have organized traditional as well as innovative events to pull students, faculty and staff together in celebrating Hispanic culture. The theme this year is "Creando Lazos Entre Culturas | Creating Ties Between Cultures." With everything happening across our come countries and here in the U.S. as well, we felt it was important to take some time to reflect on how our cultures are both unique but also tied to one another.
