What makes a team successful? Talent alone may not be the answer.
Rutgers School of Business–Camden Professor of Human Resources/Organizational Behavior Dr.Chester Spell explores the science behind team chemistry in a newly published chapter, “Team Chemistry, Performance Pressure, and When Things Matter,” in the Research Handbook on Group Decision Making.
Using more than 41,000 NBA lineup observations, Dr. Spell and his co-authors examine how diversity, shared characteristics, team chemistry, and performance pressure can influence how teams perform.
The research offers insights that extend far beyond the basketball court, providing a deeper look at how teams can leverage differences and similarities to improve performance.
👏 Congratulations, Dr. Spell, on this latest publication!
