allows interested women of MSU the opportunity to get an in-depth look at the sisterhood. They experience first-hand what it would be like to be a sister of Mu through planning, programming, fundraising and networking. It also allows for the prospective members to get to know one another as well as Mu Sigma Upsilon sisters. So we are currently working of founding a new chapter of MSU here at Rutge
rs Camden Campus. To move forward with this process each lady must have $600. So we are appreciative of the donations we receive from family and friends, and dedicated to complete this process spring of 2014. Mu Sigma Upsilon Sorority, Incorporated was founded on November 21, 1981, at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ as the first multicultural minority Greek letter society in the nation. The organization is comprised of women from various ethnic backgrounds, races, creeds, and religions. The members work: to set forth a positive image of all women and promote cultural awareness. All sisters of MSU strive to attain the sorority’s three main goals: academic excellence, unity among all women, and to be active in the university and community. The members participate in many campus programs as well as community service projects, such as: soup kitchens; cultural programs; job fairs; blood drives; walk-a-thons; charity auctions; food banks; and Adopt-A-Highway to name a few. Members of MSU share their culture, through their diverse sisterhood, and continuing efforts to educate society and most important, the strength one can find in sisterhood and family. The sisters of MSU have a willingness to succeed, a sense of purpose to hold to our discipline of academic achievement and a dedication to the enrichment of the community. Best Regards,
Future Sisters of Mu Sigma Upsilon Sorority, Incorporated.
