The Morris Recreation Center at is back and better than ever!

We recently celebrated the grand opening of our remodeled and expanded space at the MRC, featuring a brand-new entrance, dedicated activity rooms, dozens of pieces of new fitness equipment and so much more!

Hey Lions!! We are losing a good one. Our Vice President for Research and Economic Development, Brent Donham, has decided to ride off into the sunset with a well-earned retirement. I would like to personally thank Brent for being such a great colleague and friend over the years. And, I would like to thank the many folks who showed up today at Dr. Donham's going away party. He will be greatly missed.

One of our students, Valeria Pacheco (front and center in the picture), created an outstanding piece of art that we are proudly displaying on our Spirit Wall on the first floor of the Rayburn Student Center. Her work is yet another example of how our students contribute to the vibrancy of our beautiful campus. Go Valeria!! And Go Lions!!

Hey Lions!! I had a chance to give a university update to the Golden K Kiwanis of Greenville, TX, this morning. Both the Golden K Kiwanis and the Aktion Club are performing some remarkable service(s) for our community!! Thanks to President Barry Gluck (pictured) and the rest of the Kiwanis for the great hospitality!!

Hey Lions!! My friend and colleague, Dr. Tod Farmer, President of Weatherford College visited our Dallas site to sign on to a very exciting partnership between our two institutions. Weatherford College will able to send their students who have graduated from their B.S. in Organizational Leadership program directly into our M.S. in Organizational Leadership Competency-Based Education program. Couldn't be prouder to have partners like Dr. Farmer and Weatherford College!!

Hey Lions!! We had a great day in Texarkana, TX, where we signed an agreement to ensure the seamless transfer of students from Texarkana College (TC) to East Texas A&M. Excited to work with the TC leadership team to make this happen (L to R in the photo below: President Jason Smith, Vice President for Instruction, Dixon Boyles, and Board Chair, Derrick McGary. Texarkana College also places a premium on student success and employability. Go Bulldogs!! And, Go Lions!!
