The School of Ed is celebrating meeting expectations! Our P-5 bachelor's and master's programs, as well as our IECE programs meet the requirements for Kentucky's new literacy mandate. Dr. Elisha Lawrence, Dr. Marilyn Goodwin, and Dr. Dottie Davis put in a lot of hard work to make sure the SoE's review was successful.

Holistic ratings for each reviewed program across Kentucky will be included in a public-facing report that will be published by KDE in June.

Both are proud LaRue County graduates and familiar faces here at ALES. We cannot wait to witness their impact as they pour into the same community that once poured into themπŸ’™

So proud of our School of Education scholars on Scholar's Day! Students in ED 351, Reading Methods, did an excellent job presenting posters. They shared about the complexity of our reading brain and the scaffolding process it takes to prepare students for learning to read.
As future teachers, these presenters demonstrated they are well prepared to transform students into skilled readers.
