Hi! My name is Sushma Aryal and I am the 2025 SLU PIC intern working with the Northern Area Health Education Center (NAHEC) this summer.
NAHEC's mission is all about growing and supporting the future healthcare workforce. As part of my internship, I helped run M.A.S.H. (Medical Academy of Science and Health) Camps, which are about giving middle and high school students a chance to explore different healthcare careers through fun, hands-on workshops. I also worked on the Institute for Career Advancement in Medicine (ICAM), researching and uploading free or low-cost healthcare career resources to help students, job seekers, and professionals access training, education, and career development opportunities.

This internship has been a great experience, and I am so thankful I had the opportunity to be part of such meaningful work!
