You can also follow us on instagram . At St. Lawrence University you can take anthropology courses taught by professors who do research in places like Namibia, Indonesia, Egypt, and India. If you take an anthropology course you might just get to discover patterns in your genealogy, examine an endangered language, mummify a dead chicken, or study the remains from an ancient archaeologi

cal site. In anthropology, the world is your laboratory—our students have developed original research projects that have taken them to such places as Australia to investigate the use of indigenous languages in national radio broadcasts and Denmark to learn how bog bodies are displayed and conserved in museums. Our students have gone on to graduate school and to work at museums, galleries, schools, consulting firms, and various for-profit and not-for-profit organizations.

A battle of epic proportions! A couple of weeks ago, our students met up with SUNY Potsdam groups for our annual Atlatl Battle. Atlatl is an ancient form of spear throwing that emerged throughout the world independently around the paleolithic. Nowadays, our students get together in teams and compete to see who would have been the best hunter back then 🎯 all the while enjoying some treats and exchanging ideas with their peers 🍕🧁
Congrats to SUNY Potsdam for their win, and thank you for hosting us!
