Buff CARES (Collegiate Addiction Recovery Education and Support)

Are you a current student in abstinence-based recovery from a substance, alcohol, or other substance use disorder?

Are you an individual wanting to go to college who is in abstinence-based recovery from a substance, alcohol or other substance use disorder?

If so, we would love to have you apply to Buff CARES for the Spring 2027 cohort! We want to support you, your recovery, and your educational journey!

Buff CARES would like to invite you to the Celebration of Recovery Speaker Meeting. Come hear a powerful story of recovery, resilience, and personal growth shared by one of our Buff CARES students. This is a great opportunity to find inspiration, encouragement, and support whether you are in recovery, an ally, or simply curious about the journey of healing.

The 3rd Annual Big Texas Rally for Recovery – Panhandle Edition is THIS SATURDAY, October 3, from 2–5 PM at the Santa Fe Pavilion!

This is a FREE community event for ALL AGES and EVERYONE is invited! You do not have to be in recovery to attend. Come out and celebrate hope, prevention, recovery, connection, and the incredible resources available right here in our community.

September 30th is International Recovery Day. Buff CARES attended Another Chance House’s monthly Gratitude meeting. Buff CARES handed out Recovery Coins to recognize and affirm milestones of recovery. We would like to thank Another Chance House for allowing Buff CARES to celebrate your recovery journey and embrace your gratitude.
