Shout out to Kristen Tarno.

A Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) at Great Oak Counseling also an adjunct instructor at Mineral Area Community College.
Graduate of Southeast Missouri State University with a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling in 2025 and recently graduated with an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Counseling this past May. She is working toward becoming a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) as well as becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
At present, she works with individuals across a variety of populations, with a particular passion for working with children.
She is passionate about counseling because she finds it to be deeply fulfilling work and strongly believe that mental health is equally as important as physical health.
