Congratulations to Dr. Rashad Ahmed! Dr. Ahmed is the 2026 TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) International Association Teacher of the Year!

Rashaad's other accolades include the 2026 Conference USA Faculty Achievement award, the Provost Excellence in Teaching College award, and the Betty and Earlon McWhorter Outstanding Teacher Award at Jacksonville State University.

He received his MA from SIU in 2015 and is currently an associate professor of linguistics at Jacksonville State University.
