The SIU community is working to bring breast cancer awareness to campus and provide assistance to salukis affected by it!
We're working with Silkworm to sell, "Start Seeing Pink" merchandise to help fund the Saluki Strength Breast Cancer Scholarship and Endowment Fund. This will award scholarships and provide additional assistance to SIU students impacted by breast cancer. All proceeds from these sales will go directly to the fund and help those in need!

Chef Aaron May of the Food Network is coming to SIU for the 1869 Grille's Grand Opening on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 from 11 AM to 1 PM, Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 12 PM.

Then at 2 pm in the Student Center Old Main Room, will be your chance to attend that Meet Chef May discussion event. Where he will talk about his culinary career and becoming a Food Network personality.

Starting on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, SIU University Farms comes to the Student Center Exchange with the Farmers Market! From 11 AM - 2 PM, you can select fruit and vegetables from a wide selection of University grown, fresh produce.
