Do you want to learn how herbal medicine can support and even identify Auto-Immune disorders and more … by reading the tongue?👅

If so, you will want to join us to learn from our amazing guest teacher Brendan Kelly on November 11-12, 2026!

Using the lens of Chinese medicine, we will discuss the underlying causes of autoimmune disorders and the use of local western herbs to bring the body back into balance. You will learn strategies to address Irritable Bowel (IBS), Crohn’s disease, Celiac diseases, Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) and Graves disease, among others. We will also look at nutrition, lifestyle and the connection between the mind, emotions and autoimmune conditions.

Brendan Kelly, a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine and a master practitioner, explores how our self-understanding plays a role in our immune responses and how heat/inflammation is often a root cause for autoimmune issues. The excess heat experienced with autoimmune disorders mirrors the heat of climate change and cultural overstimulation. Brendan will address ways to bring balance to our health in a world that is out of balance.

There’s something different about learning herbalism in person! 🌿

Step away from your daily routine and immerse yourself in hands-on learning. Here’s why!

🍃1. Learn directly from experienced herbalists.
Gain knowledge and wisdom from teachers who have spent years studying, practicing, researching, and working with plants.

🌿 2. Meet guest speakers from near and far.
Many of our guest educators travel from out of town, across the country, or internationally. You may not otherwise have the opportunity to learn from them in person!

🫖 3. Experience hands-on learning.
Touch, smell, taste, prepare, and work directly with herbs and herbal preparations.

💬 4. Ask questions in real time.
Have conversations with instructors and guest speakers that go beyond what you can learn from a book or online course.

📚 5. Learn from real-world experience.
Hear stories, insights, discoveries, and practical knowledge that come from years of working with herbs.

🤝 6. Connect with fellow herbalists and students.
Meet people who share your passion for plants and build relationships that can continue long after the weekend ends.

🌿 7. Be part of the herbal community.
There is something powerful about gathering in one room with people who are equally curious, passionate, and excited to learn.

✨ 8. Immerse yourself in the experience.
A weekend intensive gives you dedicated time to step away from everyday distractions and fully focus on learning.

💚 9. Build confidence and inspiration.
Hands-on practice, meaningful conversations, and exposure to new perspectives can deepen both your knowledge and your confidence.

🌎 10. Take advantage of opportunities that don’t happen every day.
When a respected herbal educator is traveling from another state—or another country—to teach, that’s a unique opportunity to learn from someone you may never otherwise have access to in person.

Online learning has its place—but nothing compares to being in the room, meeting the teachers, and experiencing the plants firsthand.

🌿 Sometimes, you have to show up to truly experience the learning.

What a beautiful day we had learning to make at Sweet Autumn Farm with Herbs & Aromatics with Linda Patterson 🪻💜

Flower essences are a gentle way to support feelings and emotions by simply working with the vibration of flowers. This holistic method created in the 1930’s uses the flowering top of plants gently resting in spring water to capture the vibration of the flowers.

Preserving flower-infused water with brandy allows for preserving of the energy. When ingested by adding the preserved drops to drinking water, juice, tea or even using topically we can support our feelings or emotions in the most gentle, beautiful way.

Such a special day connecting with Wood Betony, Marshmallow, a 4 leaf clover and more!

What a wonderful way yo connect with the plants! 🌸💚
