Happy FDOC! Here are what some of our lovely members were up to this summer. We’re glad that so many of them were able to pursue their love of law. And we’re so happy that all of our competitors are back from summer break and ready to begin practices soon!

Also, a big shout out to our wonderful members not featured in this post. We hope everyone had a productive and relaxing summer. Welcome back, DCMT!!

Last week, 16 incoming freshmen participated in DCMT’s Law & Ordering Food Pre-Orientation. They learned about mock trial, read through a case, prepped content, and competed in a trial in just 3 days, all while enjoying the great food Carlisle has to offer.

Thank you to the Pre-Orientation leaders: Margaret Henderson, TJ Taglieri, Caylee Herseim, Eliot Rufe, and Sophia Dadds! And thank you to the amazing students who chose to come to campus early to learn about mock trial!!

We had so much fun meeting all of these talented people and are super excited to be back on campus starting our 2026-2027 season!

It is almost the beginning of a new mock trial season. If you’ve been thinking about joining Dickinson College Mock Trial, this is your sign to do it! Learn more about law, improve your public speaking skills, talk to legal professionals, travel around the country, and meet amazing people. Thank to American Mock Trial Assoc. for making this all possible!

We are in need of legal professionals, including law students and former AMTA competitors, who would be gracious enough to donate their time to judge rounds.
Judging includes watching a three- hour mock trial between two teams, filling out a ballot which entails scoring each competitor on their performance, and possibly presiding over the round which entails hearing and ruling on objections. There are four rounds, with one in the morning and afternoon of each day, and judges can select which round(s) they are available for.

Last weekend, 8 DCMT sophomores and juniors competed at American Mock Trial Assoc. Rookie Rumble Tournament. They did a great job, leaving the tournament with the Spirit of AMTA Award! We are so proud of their hard work and awesome performances!

A special shout to the team’s captains Georgy Tikhomirov and TJ Taglieri and the team’s coach Daniel Kline. Thank you to all of the wonderful schools Dickinson competed against, all of the judges who offered feedback on their rounds, and AMTA for hosting this tournament.

We’re so excited to see these competitors back on campus soon! Great job again!!

Meet our 2026 Rookie Rumble team! These competitors have worked so hard these past few months to prepare and perfect content. They’re competing this weekend at American Mock Trial Assoc. ‘s Rookie Rumble Tournament. We’re so excited to watch their hard work in action and to see how much these competitors have grown!
A special thank you to Rookie Rumble coach Daniel Kline for helping perfect content and performance. Also, thank you to Emma Browning, Chris Hill, and Maddie Whitcraft for judging scrimmages and giving helpful feedback!!

Thank you to all of our coaches this past season! We wanted to thank them for all their hard work, and talk about some of our favorite memories with them!

Shoutout to Coach Emma Browning who will be heading to UVA Law School in the fall! We will miss her tons next year!

Last but certainly not least, we have our very own Braden Weese!

He is definitely one of a kind- graduated in three years, is lead supervisor at Dutch Wonderland, and was a double threat in the courtroom all while being our President.

Bye bye Braden, this club won't forget you anytime soon!

Next up on our spotlight, we have Madelyn Whitcraft!

Our very own princess and pageant girl has made our world brighter over the past four years. She has truly done it all here and we will dearly miss her! She has played so many roles, performed so many statements, and been a fabulous captain along the way.
