Southeast New Mexico College's Community Education is taking on STEM education for kids aged 12 and older! The Foundation recently awarded a grant to support their plans for multi-session STEM camps that will take place over the next two years. Their aim is to bridge a needs gap as students transition from elementary to middle school. The grant was awarded from the Mary M. Walterscheid Memorial Fund. The late Mary Walterscheid was a Foundation Board Member and a steadfast supporter of education in our community.
