You're invited to The Glass Gallery's new exhibition “SCC REMIXED” at the Glass Education Center. The exhibit opens with a reception Friday, October 23, 4:30-6 p.m. This exhibit celebrates creative collaboration, exploring what is possible when ideas, skills, and artistic practices intersect.

The Gallery will also be open this Sunday, October 25, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for a Glass Open House, with a glass sale and tour.

During the sale, browse and shop a selection of unique handmade glass, including pumpkins, jewelry, vases, paperweights, flowers and ornaments. Guests may also tour the Glass Education Center and watch glassmaking in action.

Fused Fall Themed Votive Candle Holders
12:30– p.m. or 2:30–4 p.m.
$50 per person
Participants create their own, one-of-a-kind fall or Halloween-themed votive holder by layering pieces of glass and heating them in a kiln.

Flameworked Halloween Pendants
1–4 p.m.
$70 per person
Using glass, heat, gravity, and simple tools, create your very own Halloween-themed glass pendants at the torch. Participant have time to create multiple beads.

Students: The College will hold a Halloween Social, Wednesday, October 28, 11:30 am to 1:30 pm in the Student Union.

The free event will feature a costume contest, Halloween Bingo, a candy-corn guessing game, soft pretzels, and, of course, spooky tunes to set the tone.

Pride Rocks: Paint, Snack & Spread Love
Students, celebrate Pride through creativity, connection, and kindness! Join the SCC Wellness Center for rainbow snacks and a relaxed rock-painting activity. Paint colorful rocks with positive messages of love, acceptance, kindness, and belonging, then help us spread them around campus as little reminders that everyone is welcome here.

Considering a career in nursing?

Salem Community College will hold an information session on Wednesday, October 21with details on its two nursing programs (practical nursing certificate and associate degree in nursing). The session will begin at 3 p.m. in the College’s theater in Davidow Hall.

SCC’s practical nursing program was designated the best in N.J. by PracticalNursing.org; its associate degree program was ranked #1 in South Jersey by RegisteredNursing.org.

SCC nursing graduates have consistently achieved high pass rates on the NCLEX-PN and NCLEX-RN exams, which serve as gateways to licensure as practical and registered nurses.

Students applying to SCC’s associate degree program, which prepares licensed practical nurses to become registered nurses, are welcome to have completed their LPN training at another school.

Students: Updates to Self-Service, beginning November 9

As part of SCC’s ongoing effort to provide students with the technology that will help support their success at SCC, the Information Technology team will be upgrading Self-Service to a new tool called Student First.

On November 9, all students will notice changes in the Self-Service tool, including a new interface with SCC branding that contains access to the student schedules, registration, billing, financial aid information, and grades/transcripts.

What do you have to do?
There is nothing students need to do at this time. Even with the new interface, students will continue to use their same SCC e-mail, password, and multi-factor authentication to log into the Online Service Portal, where the Self-Service tool is linked. Support materials and advisor guidance will be provided to help navigate the new system.

SCC Homecoming: Today!

Join Salem Community College as the Mighty Oaks take the field for our first-ever Homecoming Football Game!

Today the Mighty Oaks will face Sussex County Community College at Pennsville Memorial High School, 110 S. Broadway, Pennsville. Kickoff is at 1 p.m.

Tickets cost $7. SCC students with ID and children under 12 get in free.

Wednesday was buzzing on the Klinke Green!

Students explored their next steps at the Fall Transfer Fair, connecting with representatives from four-year colleges and universities to learn about programs and admissions requirements.

Meanwhile, the Pop-Up Farm Stand was handing out fresh food, giving students the chance to pick up delicious produce and meats while supporting local farms and helping fight hunger in our college community. Presented by the SCC Hunger & Basic Needs Taskforce and funded by the NJ Hunger-Free Campus Grant, the Farm Stand is all about making fresh food more accessible.

And the fun didn’t stop there! The Dunkin’ Community Cruiser was on site with free coffee and drinks, and Mister Softee brought even more sweet treats to the Green.
