Looking for an opportunity to gain real-world business experience while earning your degree?

The Southwire Business Leadership Program, in partnership with the University of West Georgia, gives Richards College of Business students the opportunity to gain meaningful, hands-on professional experience while complementing their classroom learning.

Through the program, students can develop valuable skills, build professional connections, and gain experience that prepares them for success beyond the classroom.
Located in Carrollton, GA, the program offers flexible part-time opportunities designed to work around students' academic schedules.

Who Can Apply?

Applicants must:
-Be currently enrolled at the University of West Georgia's Richards College of Business
-Be pursuing a relevant degree such as Marketing, Management, Finance, Accounting, MIS, or a related -field
-Have a minimum 2.5 GPA
-Have reliable transportation
-Demonstrate strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
-Be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Our newest graduate students kicked off their journey at the Richards College of Business with an evening filled with connection, conversation, and community!

Students met the Dean, heard from faculty about the graduate experience, connected with fellow classmates, and heard firsthand insights from some of our current graduate students during the student panel. Panelists shared their experiences, advice, and tips for making the most of their time at UWG.

The evening was a great opportunity to ask questions, build relationships, and learn more about the resources and opportunities available at Richards College. 💼🎓

This year's retreat brought together family business owners, entrepreneurs, and industry experts to explore "The Second Leap: Moving from Founder-Led Success to Multigenerational Growth." Through inspiring keynote sessions, interactive workshops, meaningful networking opportunities, and powerful conversations, attendees shared ideas, tackled real-world challenges, and gained valuable insights on leadership, innovation, succession planning, and building businesses that thrive for generations.

Study Abroad London 2026 recap!

What an unforgettable week! Fourteen students and two faculty members explored the best of business, culture, and adventure across London.

From visiting the Bank of England, TheCityUK, London's Tech City, and the BMW MINI assembly plant to taking on a scavenger hunt at the British Museum, where students raced to find artifacts from cultures around the world, exploring Oxford University, and experiencing London's iconic sights, every day brought a new opportunity to learn and explore.

Of course, there was plenty of time for shopping, great food, and making memories with new friends along the way. 🌍✈️

Here's to a week of global learning, unforgettable experiences, and a trip we'll never forget. Until next time, London!
