62% of home health shifts in California happen outside the 9-to-5 window.

Read that again.

Most of the work isn't happening when facility CNAs are clocked in. It's happening at 6am before the family leaves for work. It's happening at 9pm after dinner. It's happening Saturday afternoon. Sunday morning. Holidays.

That's not an accident. That's the structure of home health.

→ Families need help in the windows around their own work schedules
→ Patients on private duty want continuity, not whoever's on shift
→ Live-in care exists because the need doesn't stop at 5pm

The honest answer to a question we get a lot.

The hardest part isn't the long shifts or the early mornings or the physical work.

It's that the people you take care of become family..and you have to keep showing up, even on the days you know it's the last week, the last day, the last morning.

Anyone who can't carry that part won't last in this field. Anyone who can will love the work in a way no other job offers.

This Home Health Aide class is just about to complete.

Going back to school as a working adult takes something. Most of these students are juggling shifts, families, and commutes to be here.
