Mark 5:18-20
18 As Jesus was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed begged to go with him. 19 Jesus did not let him, but said, “Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.” 20 So the man went away and began to tell in the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him. And all the people were amazed.

The man that had just been delivered from demons was begging Jesus to let him come travel with Him. One minute he is acting like a crazy man and the next he is wanting to go peaceful into a boat. But Jesus told him to go home to his own people and share his story. He did just that and they were amazed.
Sometimes all we need to do is share our story. I know we like the safety of being around other Christians. It's easy to talk about the Lord with like believers but beyond the church walls, people need to hear your story. They do not need to hear a deep theological sermon, they just need to hear your story! Share with someone today so they can be amazed!

Psalm 30:5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
I have found in my many years of living that there will be sorrow but there will also be joy. Sometimes we feel that the sorrow is going to last forever but if we just hold on God will bring you wonderful joy.
No matter what sorrow you are going through at the stage of your life, joy is coming. That is a promise from God. The weeping will be turned into laughter. I know that waiting is not a virtue in most people but if we just wait on the Lord, He will come through every time.
God's timing is perfect so just trust in Him. He loves you and He wants you to be happy. It will come!!!!

Haggai 1:5 Now this is what the LORD Almighty says: "Give careful thought to your ways.
Consider your ways...this is something we all should do. There are times that we as Christians have to look at our life and give thought to our ways. It may be something very simple that has crept in to distract you from your purpose for God. Satan is very sly and he can make us too busy to do God's will. He is very deceptive so we must consider our ways everyday to stay one step ahead of him.
This is just a good plan for every night when you go to bed, play over in your mind the ways you have gone for that day. What can you change or improve on? Being proactive will deter so many problems in your life.

I John 3:11 For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
This verse sums up what we should be doing as Christians. The verses before say that if we love God then we should love one another. Sometimes that is very hard but it is not the human us that loves but the Spirit us because the Holy Spirit is living in us. So today find someone that is unlovable and love them. Allow the Holy Spirit to love them through you. You will be surprised how good this will make you feel.

Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Jesus is standing at the door of so many knocking but they are not opening. It is so sad. They hear His voice but choose to put off letting Him in. We are not promised tomorrow so today is the day of salvation.
My prayer today is that salvation will come to all our loved ones. They will open that door so Jesus can come in to be their Savior.

John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
These are the words of Jesus. He is warning us that we have an enemy. That enemy is out to destroy us. He wants to steal every good thing from us. He wants to kill all our hopes, dreams and desires. He wants to destroy families, churches, and lives. The problem is that we allow this. We give him an open invitation to come in when we doubt, worry and fear.
Then Jesus said, I am just the opposite. I have come to give you life without doubt, worry and fear. I have come to give you all good things. I have come to give it to you abundantly...not just a little but a huge amount.
Today close the door on the thief, rebuke him when he tries to move in. Now open the door to an abundant life given by a loving Father. These two cannot coexist in the same vessel so choose the more abundant life.

John 17:4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
If you are still living then you have not finished the work that God gave you to do. This scripture is Jesus in the garden praying before His crucifixion. He told His Father that He had finished the work that had been assigned to Him.
If you are still breathing then you are not finished with your assignment here on earth. You have got to continue with your journey to finish strong. No matter your age or place in life, you have a reason to be here so live it to the fullest. Glorify Him each and everyday!

James 5:8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the LORD draweth nigh.

The Lord is coming back for His children. That will be a glorious day for the saved by grace but a very sad day for others. That is why the Lord is waiting for His return. He is waiting for as many as possible to turn from their sins and accept Him. It is our job to present to them the gospel so they can be saved. We need to be about our Father's business witnessing to others about this wonderful life as a Christian.
The old saying "the more the merrier" is so true when it comes to the Kingdom of God. He wants all to repent and seek His face. Today would be a great day to get one person in mind to pray for, witness to and lead to the Lord. That would be one person that would spend eternity in heaven...our home!
