This 75-hour training program offers working interpreters the basic knowledge and skills to begin interpreting in the exciting field of theatre performance and production. Designed by professional Deaf theatre artists and interpreters, the program consists of 3 intensive courses:
Theatrical Performance Interpreting: 20-hours, 5 Weeks
Required: 4-hours per week of ASL Lectures, Readings, Activities, Collaborative Group Interpreting Projects, Weekly Zoom Meetings
Theatrical Production Interpreting โ 25-hours, 5 Weeks
Required: 5-hours per week of ASL Lectures, Readings, Activities, Collaborative Group Skill Development, Weekly Zoom Meetings
Theatrical Interpreting Internship โ 30-hours, Arranged Schedule
Required: Skills Application, One-on-One Mentorship Meetings via Zoom, Collaborative Group Work, Supervisor Observation of Internship

These courses are designed for working interpreters wishing to expand their knowledge and skill in theatrical interpretation. Fluency in American Sign Language and English are necessary.
