Congratulations to Colonel Michael D. Kjar ('01), who has gone from the SUU Communication program to the top of the Utah National Guard 🎖️

Governor Spencer Cox has selected Colonel Kjar -- SUU alumnus and decorated combat veteran -- as Utah's next Adjutant General, succeeding Maj. Gen. Daniel Boyack who moves into a national-level Pentagon role.

Col. Kjar brings 30+ years of military leadership to the position, including a Bronze Star Medal, Legion of Merit, and a deployment to Ramadi, Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

One of our favorite moments from this summer🏅

We welcomed back our Southern Utah Athletics throwers for the Alumni Throws Pentathlon at the new Thunder Throws Facility.

Thank you to our alumni who came back to compete, reconnect, and cheer each other on.

What. A. Summer‼️

We rounded it out the only way we know how: SUU Day at Lagoon with 4️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ of our Southern Utah University!

We had the time of our lives with you this summer Las Vegas Aviators, Salt Lake Bees, Utah Shakespeare Festival, LHM Utah Summer Games, and Lagoon Amusement Park ⛅️🍉⚾️

Next up is HOMECOMING September 21-26 🏎️ don’t miss out!
