Hear from the people behind the Beverley Center 10th Anniversary Celebration happening this Friday!

We are gearing up for our day-long commemoration of the arts in Cedar City. We will be gathering at the Beverley Taylor Sorenson Center for the Arts to honor 65 years of the Utah Shakespeare Festival and 10 years of the Southern Utah Museum of Art. All housed within the beautiful Beverley Center, this celebration is a tribute to the creativity that defines our region.

Roping in the wins!

The SUU Men’s Rodeo Team earned the 2026 Rocky Mountain Regional Championship which is a first in SUU Program history!

Now competing at the College National Finals Rodeo brothers TJ and Blake Bowler have secured a spot in the National Finals in the Team Roping event. Let’s wish them good luck!

The CNFR National Finals are tonight at 7PM.

Sometimes one sentence at the right time can keep you going.

This piece of advice came after a particularly hard semester of dealing with grief of a friend. I had gotten a grade that I was less than happy with, and I was worried that this grade would affect my chances of going to law school.
My professor, E. Jay Overson, told me “your failures are only motivation to do better in the future”

He helped me see that one bad grade wasn’t going to be the end of my career. I really felt loved and supported in that moment and it gave me the confidence to keep moving forward.

Not only do the Larry H. Miller Utah Summer Games kick off this Friday, but this year also marks the 40th anniversary of the games!

We can't wait to celebrate with our community and athletes at the opening ceremony this Friday, with a block party starting at 5PM and the ceremony at 8:30—see you all there!

Home away from home.

“I didn’t move to another country with the expectation of what studying abroad means for many people. I arrived with a lot of fears and sadness for leaving behind everything that, to me, meant happiness.

I grew up believing I would never find a place that feels like home, and that everywhere I went, I would always feel like I didn’t fully belong. However, against all odds, Cedar City changed that perspective.

The moment I got here, the people, the streets, and the university welcomed me with open arms, offering a hand with even the smallest things. I realized that for a place to be called home, you don’t need to have been born there, because the sense of familiarity SUU has given me is something I haven’t found anywhere else.”
