Not many students get the opportunity to work hands-on with historic artwork created by a renowned artist but UNI Art Education student Anissa Droessler did just that!

As part of an upcoming documentary project, Anissa helped preserve and reconstruct original preparatory drawings created by Iowa artist Grant Wood for his World War I memorial windows in Cedar Rapids.

Interactive Digital Studies major Lee Beauchamp was recently named one of the American Advertising Federation’s Most Promising Students. One of just 25 selected nationwide and featured in Times Square.

The recognition marks a milestone for the University of Northern Iowa, as Beauchamp is the first UNI student chosen in the program’s nearly 30-year history.

As part of the experience, Beauchamp traveled to New York City, connecting with industry leaders at companies like Snapchat and Peacock, while continuing to build on award-winning work through the National Student Advertising Competition.

The experience adds to a growing body of creative and strategic work that reflects the strength of UNI’s advertising and digital media programs.

Congratulations Lee on this well-deserved honor!
