Big things are happening at UNI’s Foundry 4.0 Center!

UNI has been awarded $970,000 through the Iowa Economic Development Authority to bring new Industry 4.0 technologies to the center, including a 3D sand printer and induction furnace.

The investment will expand opportunities for hands-on student learning, applied research and partnerships with Iowa manufacturers – helping prepare the next generation of advanced manufacturing professionals while supporting innovation across the state.

UNI has been awarded a nearly $1 million grant to advance its Foundry 4.0 Center. The Iowa Economic Development Authority’s Strategic Infrastructure Program funding will help modernize foundry operations and advance smart manufacturing across Iowa.

Going to the Iowa State Fair this weekend?

Make sure to check out the amazing public artwork created by UNI Public Art Incubator students and faculty! This five-piece sculpture, designed by UNI professor and sculptor Dan Perry, celebrates the evolution of Iowa agriculture and the State Fair.

It’s just one example of how UNI students are gaining real-world experience creating public art that becomes part of communities across Iowa!
