University of Northern Iowa Pep Band The official page for news and information about the UNI Pep Bands! The UNI School of Music will present two exciting Pep Bands for the 2012-2013 school year!

The UNI Basketball Purple Band and Gold Bands will each perform at Men's and Women's home basketball games, beginning October 2012 and continuing through March 2013. These pep bands generate the musical excitement that fills the McLeod Center at Panther athletic events. Under the administrative supervision of Dr. Danny Galyen and directed by graduate assistants Ashley Smith and Cory Schmitt, these

ensembles are an important part of UNI's school spirit at men's and women's home basketball games. Select members of this ensemble travel to post season conference and NCAA tournaments.
