Members of the UNI Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble had a great time performing last night for the Northern Festival of Bands high schoolers! They have been helping with the festival, performing in masterclass, and answering questions about what the music experience is like at UNI. Good luck to all the high schoolers on their performances this afternoon!

Dr. Bradfield and Dr. Anderson, along with the Northern Winds Saxophone Quartet, had a wonderful experience at the Navy Saxophone Symposium in Fairfax, Virginia. Dr. Bradfield and Dr. Anderson presented works by Biedenbender and Stephen Taylor, while the Quartet performed movements from Schubring’s Ambivert and Maslanka’s Mountain Roads Overture.

The quartet went sightseeing, sampled different coffees and matchas, ate lots of mexican food, dragged the tenor around, and had a great time hearing all the saxophone performances!
