WOW!!! What a DAY! A huge thank you to every football alum and friend of the program who made a gift during Coe Athletics Day of Giving.
A special shoutout to Josh Christensen and Doug '68 & Suzanne Boeckmann, whose generous leadership gifts kicked off the day with a $20,000 matching challenge. Thanks to all of you, that match was fully met!
Suzanne recently shared why supporting Coe Football means so much to their family, and her words perfectly capture what makes the Kohawk experience so special:
“For 80 years, life has given Doug many blessings, but few have meant as much as the years he spent as a student-athlete at Coe College. Wearing the school’s colors and stepping onto that football field taught him lessons about hard work, discipline, teamwork, and perseverance that stayed with Doug throughout his life.
The victories were memorable, but it was the friendships, coaches, classmates, and the pride of representing this institution that made those years truly unforgettable. The memories Doug made at Coe have remained some of his life’s greatest treasures.
Thank you, Coe College, for being such an important part of Doug’s journey. Once a member of this college family, always a member. He has always felt grateful.
The final whistle on Doug’s playing days blew many years ago, but his gratitude for this college has never faded. It is an honor for us to give something back to the place that gave him so much."
We're incredibly grateful for supporters like Josh, Doug & Suzanne, and every person who chose to invest in our program yesterday. Thank you for believing in Kohawk Football and helping us continue to build something special.
Go Kohawks!
