DeSales University Physician Assistant Program

DeSales Free Clinic (DFC) will be part of the Highmark 5K Walk for a Healthy Community being held on DeSales University Campus on Saturday 6/4/2022.

At this event DFC will have a tent set up amongst our other neighbors in the Lehigh Valley community.

Please sign up and come walk with us to raise funds for the DeSales Free Clinic housed in the Allentown Rescue Mission!

Every Tuesday and Thursday Evening the DeSales PA Graduate students serve and provide medical care for the gentlemen experiencing homelessness.

We have the honor and privilege of talking to
these gentlemen and helping them with their needs. We have wonderful volunteer PAs and Physicians and a Nurse thatsupervise and guide the students in caring well for the gentlemen.
We raise funds to support the work, pay for medications and other supplies need for the clinic.

We are officially 2 DAYS AWAY from our annual ❤️🔥Hearts on Fire 🔥❤️giving campaign!! And this year we have something extra special to share!!

🔹Our very own Program Director, Kathy Ehrhardt has pledged to unlock a 👏$1000 👏donation toward the Excellence in Physician Assistant Studies Education Endowment, IF 100 DSU PA Program alumni make a gift of any amount during the campaign!!

🔹The endowment was created specifically to fund equipment and technology as well as student programming. It supports students on international clinical rotations, serving vulnerable populations abroad. It also supports student attendance and travel to the State and National Challenge Bowls!

🔹You can give anytime between now and Wednesday, February 9th!!

🔹You can choose to give to the University in several ways including specifically to the PA Program as follows:

Our P2 class ended Rotation 4 💪STRONG 💪with Wear Red Day in support of Go Red for Women!!! ❤️❤️❤️

We spent some time learning about how heart disease is the number one killer of women, causing 1 in 3 deaths per year. Heart disease can affect women of all ages, and we need to listen to our patients, encourage them to report symptoms, and educate on risks and prevention!!

Congratulations to our Class of 2021!!! 🎉💯🎉

The DeSales PA Program Class of 2021 Completion Ceremony was held this past Saturday, and it couldn’t have been a more wonderful, joyous day!! They all received their long white coats and recited the Hippocratic Oath together as they took this important step toward PA-C! 🥼🩺🥼

This class had both their didactic and clinical years affected by the pandemic, and they made it to this moment with persistence, grit, and grace! We are so proud of them and look forward to seeing where their lives and careers take them! 👏👏👏
