Today, the Church celebrates Trinity Sunday, celebrating the splendor of relationship found among the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. May our relationships be sustained and marked by this love to move us to greater peace and joy.

This year, Trinity Sunday also coincides with the Feast of the Visitation, a moment especially meaningful in the Salesian tradition. Inspired by Mary’s visit to Elizabeth, Saint Francis de Sales and Saint Jane Frances de Chantal founded the Order of the Visitation in 1610, rooted in humility and gentleness, which we champion as University core values.

We wanted to share something sweet during Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. 🧁

Meet Alexandra Soleta, a DeSales University alumna, Cybersecurity Engineer at Guardian Life, and founder of Muni Muni Bakery.

Alex launched Muni Muni Bakery in August 2025 after years of perfecting the art of macarons. The name “Muni Muni,” a Tagalog phrase meaning “deep thought,” reflects the care and intention behind every batch she creates. Alongside Filipino-inspired flavors, Alex also incorporates flavors inspired by other Asian cultures, including mango sticky rice and red bean, into her macarons.

While pursuing her master’s degree in Cybersecurity through DeSales’ 4+1 program, Alex continues to blend creativity, culture, and entrepreneurship into something truly delicious. 💙

A Nursing graduate, Luz made DeSales her home away from home through meaningful friendships, involvement on campus, and a commitment to uplifting those around her. After twenty-seven years of service to DeSales University, Thomas Mantoni has announced his retirement effective July, 2026.

Since arriving at DeSales in 1998, Tom has played an important role in shaping the student experience through his leadership in the Registrar’s Office. Known for his professionalism, institutional knowledge, and genuine care for the campus community, he helped build an office centered on support and service for students and faculty alike.

Tom’s commitment to higher education extended beyond campus through his long-standing involvement with both the Middle States Association of Collegiate Registrars and Officers of Admission (MSACROA) and the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO), where he served in several leadership capacities throughout his career.

We thank Tom for his years of dedication to DeSales University and wish him the very best in retirement.
