Shelby Regional Training Center (SRTC) is the Panola College location at 678 Roughrider Drive in Center, TX. This location offers college advising, testing services, and a convenient way connect to the business and financial aid office in Carthage. P

rograms located at SRTC include Petroleum Technology, HVAC, Welding, Residential & Commerical Electricity, and Natural Gas Compression. SRTC also offers university transfer courses such as Biology, History, Government, English, Math, and psychology. Shelby College Center is the Panola College location at 3600 Loop 500 in Center, TX. This location offers Vocational Nursing, Cosmetology, Certified Nurses Aide, English as a Second Language (ESL) and GED classes and testing.

Congratulations to these Carthage ISD Promise Program scholars!

These students are making history as part of the first Promise Program cohort, which includes graduates from high schools across Panola County. Twenty-seven Carthage ISD students received certificates and will receive free tuition and fees for up to three years in their chosen pathway or program of study at Panola College.

The Promise Program, which was launched in 2023 and is sponsored by the Charles C. Matthews Foundation, was designed to reward students who work hard, give back to their communities, and stay committed to their education.

The Program has since expanded into Shelby County through the Dan L Duncan Shelby County Promise, continuing to create opportunities for students across our region.
