The Pacific Northwest Center of Excellence for Clean Energy, located at Centralia College, in Centralia, Washington, convenes partners such as consumer-owned and investor-owned utilities; a federal power-marketing administration (the Bonneville Power Administration); emerging clean technology businesses; organized labor; a national laboratory (Pacific Northwest National Laboratory); and numerous c

ommunity colleges and universities located in the Pacific Northwest region (Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana). The center leads a coordinated, strategic approach to clean energy workforce development for the region. It works with regional partners to: 1) define energy jobs, 2) identify job classifications and training needs, and 3) create a regional clearinghouse for clean energy education programs, pathways into careers, internship/apprenticeship opportunities, and job openings.
