The first week of classes is underway at Wilson! Yesterday, I made the rounds to stop by some faculty offices, say hello, and wish them well on the first day of classes.

And to our students, my advice for a successful semester remains pretty simple:

Go to class.
Turn things in.
Turn them in on time.

It’s not everything you need to do to succeed—but it’s a pretty good start.

Happy new academic year, Wilson! Let’s make it a great one.

On or off the clock, I’m always the biggest fan of Wilson College!

We've got planners, last-minute packers, and, of course, help from parents, but no matter how long it took to pack, I am so happy they are here at Wilson.

There’s something special about Convocation—a tradition that brings our Wilson community together to mark the beginning of a new academic year.

Yesterday, we gathered in the Alumnae Chapel to welcome our newest Phoenix, as they, and new members of our faculty and staff, committed to our deeply held Honor Principle.

As we begin another year together, I’m filled with excitement for all that lies ahead. Here’s to a wonderful year of learning, discovery and making memories together.

Move-in day is one of my favorite days of the year!

Yesterday, I had so much fun welcoming our newest Phoenix to campus, meeting their families and helping wherever I could. There’s something special about seeing campus come alive as a new class begins their Wilson journey.

Welcome to Wilson, Class of 2030! We’re so glad you’re here.

A big thank you to Charlene Berardino’63 and her husband, Tom, for their generous gift to our campus! The beautiful new “W” sculpture is already becoming a favorite spot to stop, snap a photo and celebrate all things Wilson. 💙

I can’t wait to see all of your photos at the “W”! Be sure to tag us when you do. 📸

How do you know if you are an odd or an even?

Well, if you expect to graduate in an odd-numbered year, you’re an Odd. If you expect to graduate in an even-numbered year, you’re an Even. Odds are represented by black and red, while Evens are represented by blue and green.

This tradition stirs up some friendly competition!

On Friday, I had the pleasure of addressing our faculty and staff at a town hall which was followed by hosting my annual Lawn Party, welcoming our wonderful faculty, staff and their families to Sharpe House for an evening of good food, conversation and community. It was a wonderful way to celebrate the people who make Wilson such a special place as we get ready to begin a new academic year.

I’m so grateful for all that our faculty and staff do for our students and for Wilson. Here’s to a great semester ahead! 💙🖤💙

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of joining the Rotary Club of Chambersburg to share some of the exciting things happening at Wilson College.

One of the great privileges of serving as Wilson’s president is representing Chambersburg’s hometown college in the community we call home. Wilson has been part of the fabric of Chambersburg for 157 years, and I’m always grateful for opportunities to spend time with people who care so deeply about our community and its future—and to share the many ways Wilson and our students are contributing to that future.

A new chapter begins at Kris’s Meadow! I’m thrilled for our student-athletes and coaches who will practice and compete on our new turf field—home to women’s and men’s soccer, women’s lacrosse and, now, field hockey.

Join us on Sept. 1 as field hockey takes on Sweet Briar College in the first home game on the new turf!
