Dinner on Us: Impact and Opportunity: Serving Your Community from the Inside

Join the Native American House for a conversation about how understanding state and federal systems can help you develop your career goals and the valuable benefits that can come with public service. Learn about benefits including paid leave, insurance, loan forgiveness, tuition reimbursement, leadership training programs, and more, while exploring what it means to build a career from a government perspective.

Our presenter, RoxAnne LaVallie-Unabia (Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians), is the CMS Statewide Manager for Native American Diversity & Inclusion for the State of Illinois. With more than 20 years of federal government experience and a background with the Indian Health Service, RoxAnne brings extensive experience working with Native American and Alaska Native communities across the United States.
