Ohio Comp Recap!
On days 1 & 2, the team passed engine tech, technical inspection, and brake check first try! Our team leads crushed it in Design Presentation earning 20th place in the competition. Shortly after, we bent our steering rack on the test track and had to scramble to fix it before dynamic events started. The team came together with a quick fix and got the car driving for day 3.
After a troublesome initial sled pull and acceleration run, some on the fly changes were made and we were ready to go for maneuverability and suspension & traction events where we scored well and the car survived, leaving us ready to roll for endurance.
We battled through endurance fighting through the tough course and pulling together quick fixes to keep the car on the track as long as possible. We finished the 4 hour race seeing the checkered flag after 33 laps earning us 35th place.
Overall, Ohio was a successful competition and the team learned so much for next year, so stay tuned!
