Tau Kappa Epsilon - University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign The Gamma chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon was founded on February 3, 1912.

TKE strives to contribute to the advancement of society through the personal growth of our members and service to others. Through Tau Kappa Epsilon's Member Development and Candidate Education Program, each man can achieve his personal best in all areas of college life, which will prepare him for success beyond graduation. We encourage all members to strive to live up to the standard of excellence

set by our principles on a daily basis. The six key focus areas of Tau Kappa Epsilon are Scholarship, Character, Leadership, Teamwork, Service, and Brotherhood. It is for this reason that we recruit not for wealth, rank, or honor, but for personal worth and character. Advancing character and personal development means unlocking the potential for each man to be a great college graduate and productive citizen. A Teke is a man who is trustworthy and lives the values enunciated in our Declaration of Principles, helping each member
integrate LOVE, CHARITY, and ESTEEM into his daily life.
