We use research to help us un
derstand the best ways to support health at UNC. Here’s what know and believe:
We all have the right to reach our fullest potential and thrive. So we take a public health approach. We don’t just ask people to change individual behavior; we also make it easier for folks to make healthy choices by changing the campus environment. Wellness is holistic and intersecting. Your health influences your ability to succeed in reaching your academic goals. Everybody is different - what works for one person might not work for you. To create a healthy community, we need to bring identity, equity and disparities to the front of our consciousness. Access to quality health care, mental health, wellness promotion and recreational services improves health. Many of these at UNC have already been paid for in your fees, so don’t wait if you’re in need. We’re here to help. We can’t do this alone! We need your help. You are a critical part of the health and wellness landscape at UNC! What you say and do influences your wellbeing as well as the wellbeing of those around you.
