“Truthfully, I could not imagine my college experience without the love and community that Pi Phi has given me! I carry so much gratitude for our chapter in my heart– especially for our strong and endlessly supportive sisterhood, which I’ve been so lucky as to contribute to this past semester! I’ve had an incredible time planning sisterhood events, from trips to Morehead Planetarium to charm bracelet making in the kitchen, all alongside my wonderful directors and committee. Yet, above all, my favorite part of my role has been giving back to the Big & Little process, an element of our sisterhood I find incredibly special. It has been such a privilege to support our new members as they find their bigs and phams– girls who, in my experience, truly (and quickly!) become your built-in best friends.

Looking back, I never could have predicted that complimenting a stranger—now turned friend—would be the moment that led me to becoming a Pi Phi. Yet, I truly believe that everything happens for a reason. Membership in this organization has changed my life in the best way, introducing me to the most sincere and resilient friends I have ever met. Whether it’s a weekend at the lake or a late-night Alpha Pie run, these girls make every day feel like an adventure. Further, beyond being the place where I met my closest friends, Pi Phi has given me the strength and encouragement I needed to find my confidence and grow into the friend, person, and leader I am today; I would not trade that for the world!” 🪽

We adore you Lily! 😇

“Going through primary recruitment as a freshman, Pi Phi has been a definitive aspect of every step of my college career. I will never forget the tremendous support I have felt since the day I stepped foot in the house. From talking to my gbig during the Sisterhood and House Tours round, to running home on bid day, not a moment has gone by that I haven’t felt encouraged and loved. Since becoming a member, I have met girls who allow me to express my true self and encourage me to push out of my comfort zone. I have spent hours studying, laughing, talking, and enjoying the company of Pi Beta Phi within the walls of our beautiful home. These friendships are what make life so lovely.

However, beyond the friendships, Pi Phi has opened millions of doors through leadership and learning opportunities. Each day I am amazed by the intelligence and thoughtfulness of our sisterhood. Serving on our executive board has been an incredible privilege, as I have grown closer to my sisters and gained new skills that serve strongly in every aspect of life. I am fascinated by the interworkings of how the selflessness of the NC Alpha chapter continues to keep us going, and how those behaviors extend to the national level. It takes a motivated crowd to put on such incredible events and strong innerworkings, and boy do we have that!

A few words to describe Pi Phi would be genuine, thoughtful, courageous, bold, and selfless. And that is just the start!” 🩵
