Continuing The Story: Teal Connections
From creating unforgettable experiences with the Harlem Globetrotters to bringing compelling characters to life on screen, Terry Allen is a powerful example of what it means to pursue your passion and have the courage to evolve along the way.
A proud Coastal Carolina University graduate, class of 2017, with a degree in Recreation and Sports Management, Terry built his foundation in an industry centered around sports, entertainment, connection, and creating memorable experiences. His time with the Harlem Globetrotters sharpened his ability to communicate, connect with people, perform under pressure, and understand the energy of an audience.
But behind that career was a passion for storytelling that continued to call him toward acting.
Terry began taking acting classes, auditioning, and accepting opportunities that allowed him to develop his craft. What started as an interest became a purpose and eventually a full-time career. His journey has led to appearances in P-Valley, A Nashville Legacy, Judge Me Not, and Tyler Perry’s Bruh, before reaching a major milestone with his role as Duffy on STARZ’s.
What drives Terry is more than simply being in front of the camera. He is passionate about creating experiences, telling stories, and connecting with audiences in a way that makes people feel something. His background in sports and entertainment taught him the importance of discipline, preparation, adaptability, confidence, and genuine connection; qualities he now brings into every character he portrays.
For Terry, success is about continuing to grow, taking risks, and trusting the journey even when the path changes.
From creating experiences for fans to creating characters for audiences, Terry is no longer simply helping tell the story, he is living it.
His journey reminds us that our degree may be where our story begins, but it does not have to define where the story ends.
