EIU Political Science

EIU Political Science Preparing students for government, nonprofit, private sector careers, law school, and graduate school opportunities.

EIU's Political Science department offers several degree programs:
1) BA in Political Science, with options in International Studies and Civic/Nonprofit Leadership
2) MA in Political Science, with an online option in Public Administration/Public Policy www.eiu.edu/poliscigrad
3) Graduate certificate in Public Planning, with significant GIS training. All students learn to use social science researc

h methods to analyze political phenomena. We require applied learning experiences through internships, research, and undergraduate simulations. Our students gain key skills in writing, communication and analysis, preparing them for a variety of careers and preparing them to be responsible citizens.

⚖️ Pre-Law Society Holds Its First Meeting of the Semester

The Pre-Law Society held its first meeting of the semester on Monday, August 31, at Coleman Hall. Students interested in law, legal careers, and law school came together to learn more about the society and its activities.

The meeting was a great opportunity for students to connect, get involved, and learn more about the activities and opportunities offered through the Pre-Law Society.

📅 Mark your calendar for September 14!

The next meeting will include the Pre-Law Society elections, giving students an opportunity to take on leadership roles and become more involved in the organization. And, of course, pizza will be provided! 🍕
