A New Bite on Campus: Half Moon Empanadas 🌜

Yesterday, we welcomed Half Moon Empanadas to Charlotte! This grand opening marks an exciting milestone as our campus becomes the first university location for Half Moon outside of Miami, Florida. Dining Services is always committed to bringing the Charlotte community quick, affordable bites without compromising quality. Half Moon offers a variety of savory and sweet empanadas, along with Café Bustelo coffee for the perfect pick-me-up.

Congratulations to Aisha for graduating last week with her Bachelor's in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. Aisha was behind on a lot of the excellent marketing on our social media 🤳 and was also one of our Lead Ambassadors for the Niner Aux Guides 🤙 After graduation, she hopes to work in social media or digital marketing. Join the Business Services team! 📹 We're hiring a Video Production intern to join our team and assist with the marketing team with creating engaging videos for use at New Student Orientation and Business Services' social media channels. Apply by Thursday, August 27!

What you’ll do:
• Assist video production specialist with shooting footage relevant to Business Services like parking, transportation, dining, mail, print/copy and/or vending
• Assist with creating short videos that market our services on campus for
web and social media
• Assist with recruiting student actors and scheduling film shoots
• Assist with moving lighting, sound and video equipment to film shoot locations
• Act as assistant director and script supervisor during film shoots.
• Assist with location scouting, script writing and brainstorming ideas for fresh video content
• Perform or learn basic video editing and enhancement in Adobe Premiere and other Adobe programs.
• Act, model and provide voice-over lines for photo and video projects
• Serve on project-based teams for a range of Business Services initiatives as needed
