Gold Rush Robotics has officially rebranded to 49er Robotics! With our mission goal of robotics being accessible by all students, merging both Gold Rush Robotics and NORM Robotics was definitely the game plan! Please check us out on Niner Engage to see our upcoming events and to become an official member of 49er Robotics.

Congratulations to our recent graduates that are apart of Gold Rush Robotics and Charlotte Combat Robot Club: they are all graduating with a B.S. in Computer Science!

Sean plans on working for Schaeffler as a software engineer. Anthony plans on working for Wells Fargo in their infrastructure department. Zach is looking in the robotics field.

We love you all, thank you for all of your hard work. From the IEEE robot to DingDong and Homer — you will be missed.

THANK YOU to everyone who came out to our end our year celebration for the 2025-2026 academic year for Gold Rush Robotics. We appreciate all of you, your time, and dedication to our club. We hope to see many bright smiles and new faces next academic year in our rebrand to 49er Robotics.

This past Wednesday on April 22nd, GRR members Gabbi, Hudson, and Justin tabled at the “Party on the Planet” event hosted by , .uncc, and . It was a pleasure to go out to table about this year’s competitive robots as well as bring more insight to fellow UNCC students.

Thank you to everyone who made it to our advanced soldering workshop yesterday! We had a great time teaching you how to do surface mount soldering! It was lots of fun to see what you could make.

Join us next week on Monday, March 2nd, from 6:00PM to 7:00PM in the Basement floor of Kennedy for our laser cutting workshop. We'll be teaching you how to design parts using the Super Fab Lab's laser cutters. Gold Rush Robotics holds monthly workshops to teach topics surrounding engineering and sciences. We hope to see you there!

We had a great time volunteering at this past weekend! Demoing our robot for future engineers was an awesome experience, and great opportunity for us to show off what we've been working on this past year. Can't wait to do it again next year.

If you're interested in seeing what Gold Rush Robotics is up to soon, consider joining us on Wednesday at 5:30PM for our surface mount soldering workshop in EPIC 2230. You'll get to solder and bring home your own free circuit board, no strings attached! See you there!
